History of the School
Michele’s Montessori School began offering Montessori Preschool classes and Childcare in March of 1999 in the first floor of the Holy Family Episcopal Church on Swede Ave.
Still operating there today, the school has grown and adapted to the needs of the community by incorporating transportation and care for older children to the age of 12, offering different all year programs and drop in care. All these while continuing their original Montessori Preschool classes and Childcare.
The variety of these programs has allowed the school, which began with 5 children and 2 teachers, to grow into a school now servicing over 60 children and employing 9 staff members.

School Philosophy - Mission
The American Montessori Society theories are practiced at Michele's Montessori. We believe that every child learns at his/her own pace when they are in a learning environment. The prepared environment allows a child to discover and explore as they mature. Each child has a relationship with the staff which allows the child to develop in a comfortable and loving classroom.
